Colour
Colour is made of energetic wavelengths which have an impact on the bodies physiology. Each colour has different wavelengths and therefore can impact you differently. For example long wavelength colours; red, orange and yellow, cause our autonomic nervous system to be stimulated, specifically the sympathetic nervous system, so you feel sociable, extroverted and energetic. Long wavelength colours are therefore linked with more active emotions. On the other hand, short wavelength colours have the opposite effect (violet, blue, green) activating the parasympathetic nervous system and helping us to relax, be calm and take it easy.
RED
The colour red has many associations but in clothing it is considered stimulating, exciting and associated with confidence, strength, motivation and passion.
You may want to wear red when you need to be assertive and when you want to feel good and confident in yourself.
PINK
The colour Pink is often associated with caring, compassion, nurturing and self love. If you want to feel plateful, connect with your feminity and feel a sense of security and self love, this is the colour for you.
ORANGE
Orange is a gregarious, energetic and motivational colour. It promotes optimism, sociability and creativity.

YELLOW
Yellow reminds many of us of sunny days and thus we feel happiness and vitality when using this colour. It is joyful and optimistic and helps us be imaginative and enlightened.
This can be worn to uplift you, feeling positive and up beat, for self belief, self assurance and great communication.
GREEN
The colour Green is in the middle of the colour spectrum and is associated with balance. It can be a colour for both relaxation and motivation, depending on how you feel. Wearing green can remind you of outdoors, helping to relieve stress, feel grounded and inspire creativity. Green can help you exude positivity.
BLUE
Often associated with the sky, sea and authority, blue is a calming, reliable and trustworthy colour that exudes dependable and responsible. It is good for clear communication, clarity and found to be soothing.
Blue has been shown to decrease heart rate, breathing and therefore stress. It has been shown to release oxytocin, the feel good hormone.

PURPLE
The colour Violet is associated with being calm due its short wavelength. It can make us relax and put us into a state of comfort, peace, relaxation and security due to its association with spirituality and wisdom and allowing our creativity and imagination to flow.
As a colour of dignity, wealth and ambition it can give a feeling of inner strength and leadership.
It is good to wear purple to restore balance and equilibrium, to uplift and protect from emotional turmoil and to empower you when strength is needed.
BROWN
Brown, the earth, offers stability, grounding, a feeling of rootedness, warmth, security and safety.
As brown palates are dependable, conservative and emotionally stabilising they are good when you need to feel comforted and safe. They signify a warm friendliness and down to earth nature.
BLACK
Black has been associated with both mourning and celebration depending on the culture but is also considered a powerful, elegant, formal and strong colour.
If you want to convey control, this is a good colour to wear as it projects leadership, authority and appears formal, dignified and sophisticated.
